Leveling Compound RF 50
RF50 Leveling material for surfaces to be painted with a decorative layer. CHARACTERISTICS – It is a powder material, with cement, lime, sand of the selected granulometry, hydrophobic synthetic resins and specific additives. – It is characterized by an excellent opening and workability, thus facilitating the application of the product on supports filled with traditional or pre-prepared mortar. – Provides long workability, very good adhesion to the support and great surface leveling. - Creates a great waterproofing on the surface where it will be applied, facilitating even more the application of the decorative coating. -Creates a good bond between the base mortar and the decorative coating. - It is applied for thickness up to 3mm. FIELD OF APPLICATION It is used to level and insulate surfaces to be painted with decorative coatings (GRAFIATO or DECORTEX), in indoor and outdoor environments. It is applied to traditional mortar-based supports, or pre-prepared mortar supports, which are based on lime and cement. The surface where the product is applied can be covered with decorative coatings of mineral or synthetic nature. IMPORTANT INFORMATION – Do not add other ingredients such as cement, lime, etc. to the given product. – Do not apply on previously painted surfaces. - Do not apply on plastic surfaces or clothing. - Do not apply on surfaces with a thickness greater than 3 mm. - Do not add water after the mixture has been prepared. - Should not be used to level tiles. - Must be applied at temperatures from +5°C to +35°C. EN 998-1 - Do not apply in places where there is ceramic coating. - Do not apply on plaster-based surfaces. EN 998-1 RF50 -Do not apply to surfaces that are easily broken or destroyed. SUBSTRATE PREPARATION The surface or substrate to which RF50 will be applied must be level and stable. Surfaces thicker than 3 mm must be leveled before applying the product. APPLICATION Spread the material with a metal spatula to ensure a uniform opening over the entire surface. The second layer is applied 30 minutes after the application of the first layer. The temperature of the environment significantly affects the working time of the product; the lower the temperature, the longer the working time. Latex Reinforcement: To improve adhesion, waterproofing, plasticity, flexibility, mechanical strength, etc., RF50 can be reinforced with Latex additives. The mixing ratio with water is 1:5. (see latex technical sheet) CLEANING Cleaning of work tools and hands must be done before the product has completely dried. CONSUMPTION Approximately 1.5 kg/m2 per mm thickness. PACKAGING RF50 is supplied in 25 kg bags. STORAGE STORAGE 12 months after the production date if the product is stored in its original and unopened packaging, in environments protected from moisture and frost.
