ADHESIVE FOR SIPOREX BLOCKS
Cement based RF 25 adhesive for gluing EPS thermal insulation panels. CHARACTERISTICS – High adhesion to mineral substrates and EPS panels – Very good workability – Resistant to atmospheric conditions FIELD OF USE RF 25 is a cement-based adhesive for bonding EPS (external thermal insulation systems). RF 25 is used for gluing EPS insulating panels in new buildings, as well as in existing buildings that will renew facades with an insulating system. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Surface preparation RF 25 has very good adhesion to surfaces such as walls, plaster and cement-based surfaces which must be free of grease, bitumen, dust and other substances that reduce the adhesive strength. Before application, check adhesion to existing plaster and paint coatings. In case of microbiological contamination with fungi, moss or algae, the surface of the facade should be cleaned with a metal brush and then treated with a solution against these microbes. Old plastered walls, hard plaster and painted surfaces should be sanded, then pressure washed and left to dry completely. Surfaces with high water absorption, such as walls made of aerated concrete blocks or silicate blocks should be treated with BETON CONTACT primer and allowed to dry for at least 4 hours. APPLICATION RF 25 must be poured in the specified amount into cold, clean water and must be stirred with a stirrer until a homogeneous mixture is created. The ready-to-use mortar should be applied with a trowel along the edges of the panel and a strip 3 ÷ 4 cm wide and approximately 8 cm long should be placed on several parts of the panel. Immediately after that, the EPS panel should be fixed to the wall with a few small taps. As is known, the applied mortar, when placed, must cover at least 40% of the panel surface. In the case of plastered surfaces, it can be applied through a notched trowel, with a 10-12 mm cut. The panels must be firmly fixed to each other, just like a "brick wall". When the EPS panels are installed, after approximately 3 days, any unevenness in the leveling of the panels is eliminated with sandpaper and then reinforced with plastic or mechanical wall anchors. The number of wall anchors must be at least 4 pieces per m² CONSUMPTION Approximate consumption: Fixing EPS panels: approx. 4.0 Kg/m2 Leveling layer: approx. PACKAGING 3.0 kg/m2 RF 25 is supplied in 25 kg paper bags. Shelf life - STORAGE 12 months after the production date, if the product is stored in the original packaging and in a normal environment, protected from direct exposure to the sun and frost.
