RF 20 Adhesive based on cement and flexible, for gluing ceramic tiles, stoneware, porcelain, etc. PRODUCT CLASSIFICATION RF 20 is classified as C2TE S1 according to EN 12004, C base cement, 2 adhesive with high adhesive strength, T slip resistance and E extended working time and S1 as a flexible adhesive. CHARACTERISTICS – For indoor and outdoor use – For wet areas – Good workability – For fixing ceramic tiles, stoneware, porcelain on hard surfaces. – For fixing ceramic, stoneware and porcelain tiles on plaster surfaces, after they have been treated with RF PRIMER. – For fixing ceramic, stoneware and porcelain tiles on existing old tiles. – For fixing ceramic, stoneware and porcelain tiles in underfloor heating. AREA OF USE RF 20 is used for placing ceramic, stoneware and porcelain tiles, as well as tiles of different dimensions on different surfaces such as: concrete, insulating coating, cement, plaster, old tiles, etc. This product is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. RF 20 can also be applied to deformable surfaces, such as: gypsum or wood tiles, underfloor heating, when reinforced with FLEXIT additive; this additive improves the technical parameters of the adhesive. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Surface preparation Traditional cement-based supports must have a sufficient maturation time of (28 days at a temperature of 23°C and U.R. 40%). The supports must be flat and stable, in function of the intended use. The support where the product will be applied must be clean and free of external RF 20 materials such as: paints, oils, varnishes, non-stick materials. Cleaning is done mechanically or manually. Before applying the product, plasters must have a maturation time of at least 1 week per 1 cm of thickness. The supports must be mechanically stable, in function of the intended use. APPLICATION For a better application of the product and for a good and uniform extension of it over the entire surface, it is recommended to first place the product on the support through the straight blade of the trowel and then through its serrated part. The product must be applied with a suitable trowel, depending on the type and dimensions of the tile. It is recommended that after laying the tile, apply pressure so that the back of the tile is completely saturated. Special conditions, such as: high temperatures or strong winds, sun or substrates with a high water absorption, negatively affect the performance of the product and can even significantly reduce the time of spreading and correction. To avoid these problems, it is recommended to spray the support with water before applying the adhesive or treat it with RF PRIMER primer. However, in any case, before placing the tiles, it is important to check whether the adhesive has created a "skin". In such cases, you need to redistribute the adhesive in order to reactivate its adhesive strength. You should avoid pouring water on the glue that has formed a "skin" (hardened) because in such a case an anti-stick layer is created.
